Sakhi One Stop Centre Medak has incepted on 01-9-2019 in Medak District with the guidelines of District Collector and Women and Child Development Department Medak, the Inauguration has done on 05-09-2019 as per the guidelines of Women Development and Child Welfare Department Telangana under Ministry of Women and Child Development Govt. of India under for the protection of women by providing immediate services where the women are suppressed and need emergency and required services. We provided rescue response, emergency shelter, medical support, Counselling and Legal Counselling to 651 needy women during the past 3 years. And created Awareness campaign on wheel (Prachara Radham) visited 552 villages from 20 Mandals in Medak District
VISION has started Family Counselling Centre in the year 2012 at Gajwel town of Medak District of Telangana State with the support of Central Social Welfare Board New Delhi and guidance with State Social Welfare Board of Hyderabad since past. The women who are abuse and harassing in their homes they coming to our Family Counselling Centre. Now they are going to daily labour works and getting relax and doing their works freely, our centre taking care of their them with our services. At present the total 84 victims are admitted for family counseling purposes in FCC. The community involvement is also very appreciable and even local leaders and women groups members are supporting and cooperating us by running Family Counselling Centre successfully, till now we provided services to 1320 women victims.
Under the FCC scheme, counselling, referral and rehabilitative services to women victims who are in moral danger within the family or society at large including those affected by disputes, marital discord or maladjustment is provided free of charge. The Family Counselling Centre is working in close collaboration with local authorities such as police and institutions like Short Stay Homes and is expected to intervene in ‘crisis’ cases and in cases of atrocities against women.
We organized International Women’s Day Celebrations on 08-3-2022 at TNGOs Bhavan at Medak with 250 Women and Girls were participated in the programme. And 10 Best service providers chosen and awarded them on the occasion. Also explained by dignitaries its importance and how to protect them and what are services are available like Toll free number 181 from the government and rights and Acts etc. explained to children. And conducted competitions to the children on the day. Smt. Padma Devender Reddy Garu MLA is the Chief Guest, others are Guests of Honour.
On 24-01-2022 the observance of National Girl Child Day Celebrations conducted at TSW Residential School at Ramayampet premises all the 400 children were participated enthusiastically in the program and delivered the speeches from the guests Smt.Rajalaxmi Principal, Mr.V.Kailas Executive Director Vision NGO and Resource persons MR.K.Raju ,S.Sharat are in the program. The importance of the day has explained and how to grow the girls in the society well and take challenges to reach high goals were explained. As well as the safe and protection methods for girls are explained during the meeting. Around 400 girl children and teachers and staff are in the program.
